The Client

Intellicheck is an ID validation company. In 2023, Intellicheck validated over 100M identities, all in seconds.

Project summary

Whiteboard partnered with Intellicheck on a fresh identity system and website. I really enjoy projects where I get to collaborate with our very talented identity designers. The brand guides we receive are full of potential for great experiences.

Early on, the identity team pinpointed that customer service was one of Intellicheck's core values. The tagline: "The best customer experience your customer never knew they had" became a rallying cry within their organization. And the invisible layer—depicted as a layer of frosted glass—became one of the central visual themes of the website.

The Client

TED is a household name, famous for their "TED Talks". They represent the engagement of ideas through global collaboration.

Project summary

Since partnering in 2022, Whiteboard has become a trusted partner for the TED team. We've worked on several intiatives, like the Audacious Project and TED Countdown. We designed and developed a new home for their conferences. But, most recently we created a new home for the TED Fellows initative.

Their brand guide included blended "blobs" that highlighted the idea of fellows impacting each other in their respective fields. I expanded on that idea and created a visual lanaguage that centers of the individual changemakers and their collaboration with each other.

The Client

ASI is an accounting SaaS tool that focuses on helping utilities do all of their accounting in one place.

Project summary

The world of utility finance is incredibly complex. ASI already had a succinct metaphor in their logo: different sized "data blocks" falling into an organized environment. I built on that idea and created a 3d visual language that emphasizes what the ASI software does on behalf of utility accounting and tax teams.

The Client

New Story is an innovative non-profit that seeks to end global homelessness. They beagan by building the first ever 3d-printed home community and are evolving to engage local housing markets in order to create pathways to homeownership.

Project summary

This was one of my favorite projects of 2023 at Whiteboard. New Story was evolving from their original strategy when they realized that the current one wasn't large enough. They had been able to house tens of thousands of families. But, experts anticipate the homeless population to grow into the billions by 2030.

So, they zoomed out and began working on strategies for changing local housing markets to be more favorable for low-income households. The challenge—supporting a family with a new home makes a great story and an incredible visual. But, the more abstract strategy of impacting housing markets needed to feel just as powerful.

I developed a visual language that combines community stories with the abstract nature of market forces to help visualize the incredible potential of New Story's work.

The Client

aro is a lifestyle support brand aimed at helping people have a better relationship with their phones. They offer a bluetooth enabled box that stores your phone for you, freeing you to devote your focus on what is important to you.

Project summary

As a brand-new product, aro came to Whiteboard for everything from naming, to identity design, a marketing website, and the design and development of their companion app. I helped with each of these steps (with the exception of naming). My key roles were in the identity and web design. My work won an Awwwards SOTD, Dev Award, and CSSDA Site of the day.

The Client

allwhere provides on- and off-boarding for remote workers, particularly equipment maintenance.

Project summary

When allwhere approached whiteboard for a fresh website redesign, they already had charming illustrations in their brand guide. In particular I was drawn to a shipment box with legs that I felt could become a sort of mascot for the allwhere brand. I expanded the illustration system by introducing global scenes that the box could "run" through, highlighting allwhere's crucial device maintenance business line.

The Client

Happy Valley Farms is an iconic community gathering place in Chickamauga, GA. The previous owners suffered a tragic loss and the farm was never able to full recover. The new owners discovered the property and are working to restore not only its buidlings, but it's place within the larger community.

Project summary

As a restoration project, the identity team at Whiteboard referenced Happy Valley Farm's rich history. When they handed off the project to my team, the web studio, I wanted to carry that thread by bringing in elements of the Farm's past, but mingling it with elements of the new work being done.

Support Ninja

The Client

SupportNinja is a global out-sourcing company with a different perspective: they believe the best way to take care of their clients is by taking care of their staff.

Project summary

A large twist in this website project came as a result of some laws that impacted how employee images could be used. We couldn't feature the majority of SupportNinja's employees. So, I recommended an illustrative approach supplemented with thoughtful stock photography to help communicate one of their core values: they care about their people.

Good Paper

The Client

Good Paper creates beautiful, high quality cards that are sold across the U.S. in stores like Whole Foods. Their card-makers are survivors of human trafficking in the Philippines.

Project summary

Despite their serious mission, Good Paper is known for its quirky, pun-intended style of humor. I wanted to bring that sense of fun and whimsy into the website while still optimizing for sales. And, we took moments across the site to feature their card-makers.

This project isn't live yet.

Climate Neutral is working to solve the climate crisis by incentivizing corporations and businesses to audit their own emissions, make optimizations that protect the earth, and pay for carbon credits to offset some of their emissions.

Project summary

When Climate Neutral approached Whiteboard, they wanted to update their visual language from one that didn't feel like a good fit. I introduced a new color palette and a minimal but organic illustration system to help them tell a more optimistic story.

Greenhouse

Greenhouse is an editorial sub-brand of NCR. They wanted to use their expertise and their data to guide the business leaders in the midst of the pandemic.

Project summary

To help illustrated the idea of finding your way in a suddenly new world, we partnered with animation studio Fern to create stunning illustrations for their editorials. To supplement Fern's work, I created a few of my own illustrations and I developed a tumbnail visual system that would be easy for content strategists to use.
